According to the report that the Oscar-Winner Geoffrey Rush has humiliated her co-star with sexual innuendo during the production of “King Lear”. The victim of Mr Rush told the court on last Tuesday that the actor touched her breast. The name of the co-star has not been released to the public, but the female actor named Eryn Jean Norvill who portrayed Lear’s daughter named Cordelia was reached in order to provide evidence by News Corp which stands by the stories.
67-year-old star of Australian theater, Rush, won as the Best Actor Oscar in year 1997 for “SHINE” and has appeared also in the films “Pirates of the Caribbean”. According to the report that Mr Rush has denied the accusation. Norvill said in a statement: “He would look at me and smile and cup his two hands, and lick his lips, raise his eyebrows, bulge out his eyes, sometimes he’d, like, growl,” In just one rehearsal, when she was playing dead in an exciting scene according to Norvill that she opened her eyes to find out Rush affect crawling on her breasts. Norvill also added that the actor crawled her hand slowly on her right breast together with his fingers. She said: “It didn’t feel like an accident,” According to her that she did not tell anybody at that time because according to her she was at the bottom of the rung in terms of hierarchy and Geoffrey was definitely at the top and that was in play”. A representative at Shanahan, Rush’s management firm in Sydney refused to release a statement. The lawyer of the actor argued the case and was only pursued just because of the Telegraph wanted an Australian angle on the accusation leveled at the United State movie producer named Harvey Weinstein that has been spotted the #MeToo movement.
